Egypt has achieved another important milestone on the international tourism stage, winning the SETO Award for Best Partnership with a Tourism Destination for 2026 after receiving the highest number of votes in the association’s annual member survey.
The award was presented to H.E. Sherif Fathy, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, during Egypt’s participation at IFTM Top Resa in Paris, by Patrice Caradec, President of SETO, the French Tour Operators Association representing many of France’s leading tour operators.
Each year, SETO members vote among approximately 140 destinations that they work with and promote. Egypt ranked first in the 2026 vote, highlighting the strength of its cooperation with the French travel trade and the confidence tour operators place in the destination.
The recognition also reflects Egypt’s growing appeal in the French market, supported by its unique combination of history, culture, luxury travel, Red Sea resorts, Nile experiences, adventure and year-round tourism opportunities.
