What About Travel Agencies?
Good news for the travel trade: authorities are currently working on a solution that will allow licensed tourism companies to obtain QR codes directly for their clients using USD prepaid cards issued by Banque Misr and the National Bank of Egypt.
Several operational details are still being finalized, including:
• How travel companies will purchase QR codes on behalf of travelers
• Procedures for refunding unused visa stickers currently held by tourism companies
• The exact application timeline within the 48-hour window
• The issuance and use of USD prepaid cards
• Final financial and operational regulations
