As part of keeping you fully updated on destination developments, please note the following key changes in Egypt’s hotel landscape:

📍 Aswan – Mövenpick Resort (from May 2026)

Mövenpick Resort Aswan will undergo a temporary closure for refurbishment until 31 October 2026.

The property is expected to reopen in November 2026 under a new brand identity.

📍 Aswan – Old Cataract New Era

The legendary Old Cataract Aswan has officially entered a new chapter under the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group ✨

This iconic property is currently being upgraded and will relaunch in July 2027 as Mandarin Oriental Old Cataract, Aswan, featuring enhanced luxury facilities, including six dining venues and a new signature spa experience.

📍 Luxor – Winter Palace Transformation

One of Egypt’s most iconic hotels, the Winter Palace Luxor, is also undergoing a full restoration and will reopen in July 2027 as the
Mandarin Oriental Winter Palace, Luxor ✨

The renewed property will feature:
• 6 dining venues
• Luxury spa facilities
• A fully upgraded luxury heritage experience

This marks one of the most significant luxury upgrades in Upper Egypt.
